The ALS Association – DC/MD/VA Chapter’s inaugural Caregivers Conference is designed to meet the educational needs of interdisciplinary healthcare teams and caregivers who work with individuals diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). ALS, also known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a progressive neuromuscular disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The ALS Caregivers Conference is FREE to people living with ALS and their primary caregiver.
