Once again this fall, friends and family of Dan Wright are supporting the Roanoke Walk to Defeat ALS, an annual event Dan helped launch in 2006. As you know, we lost Dan to ALS in 2015, but we continue to support the walk in his memory. Dan greatly appreciated your past support of this effort to help those living with ALS and he truly believed that eventually a cure could be found. Unfotunately, a cure didn't come in time for Dan, but a cure will come. Many of the funds given to ALS go to research, and some progress is being made toward at least finding treatment if not yet a cure for ALS. Please help keep Dan's dream alive by donating to the Roanoke Walk to Defeat ALS. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's walk will be virtual. Some will be walking when and where they wish in Dan's memory, while others simply give to ALS in his memory. He would be so pleased to know that after 15 years we are still working toward the cause so close to his heart - finding a cure for ALS.
