This baseball season, the boys of summer will be looking to strikeout more than just their opponents. That’s because the ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter is partnering with the Richmond Flying Squirrels to strikeout ALS. The Tribute to Our Military Heroes campaign is part of an effort led by Minor League Baseball™ and The ALS Association to raise awareness of ALS and the National ALS Registry during Minor League Baseball games across the country.

The campaign brings new attention to our cause by highlighting the fact that veterans are twice as likely to develop ALS as the general public. The first 500 fans entering the ballpark will receive camouflage colored ALS Registry foam baseballs that will help raise awareness of this important research project that may help scientists find the cause, treatment and cure for ALS.

Help us hit one out of the park at ALS Awareness Night with the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Saturday, June 23! The game starts at 6:35PM and is in conjunction with Military Appreciation night.
